GRC Audit Support

The GRC analyst's work of supporting audits, coordinating with auditors, gathering and presenting requested evidence, answering questions, and managing the resulting findings, so audits run smoothly and produce actionable outcomes.

Audits depend heavily on the organization being ready and responsive, and GRC audit support is the analyst's role in that: acting as the liaison to auditors, pulling and presenting evidence, explaining controls, coordinating the people auditors need, and then tracking findings to remediation. Done well, it makes audits efficient and builds a constructive auditor relationship; done poorly, it turns every audit into a scramble. It is a recurring, relationship-heavy GRC responsibility.

Examples

  • Explaining how a control operates to an auditor during fieldwork.
