Terms of Use
These terms govern access to the NetDefend Academy private beta. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Last updated: August 11, 2026
Private beta access
Accounts are currently invitation-only, personal to the invited email address, and may not be transferred. Beta functionality may change, pause, or be withdrawn as the service is tested.
Educational scope
Content is provided for education and professional development. It is not a certification, employment guarantee, legal opinion, or authorization to test systems. Learners remain responsible for obtaining permission before performing security testing.
Accounts and acceptable conduct
- Keep credentials confidential and provide accurate account information.
- Use exercises only in authorized environments and comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Do not copy, resell, scrape, or redistribute substantial portions of the curriculum.
- Report suspected account compromise or harmful content promptly.
Intellectual property and limited licence
The Academy software, curriculum, text, graphics, branding, and other materials are owned by or licensed to NetDefend Group and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the Academy for your own learning during the beta. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
Availability, warranties, and liability
The private beta is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it reliable, secure, and accurate, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, that all content will remain available, or that every learning outcome will fit every learner.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, NetDefend Group disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the beta. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a responsibility or right that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
Suspension and termination
Access may be limited, suspended, or terminated to protect learners, the platform, or third parties; to comply with legal obligations; when these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are breached; or when the beta ends. On termination, the licence granted by these terms ends, although provisions concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and records that must be retained may continue where appropriate.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the beta, law, or operational requirements change. Material changes will be posted with a revised last-updated date and, where appropriate, communicated to account holders before they take effect. Continued use after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, without removing mandatory consumer or data-protection rights that may apply to you. A concern should first be raised with support so we have a reasonable opportunity to address it. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Jamaica will have jurisdiction except where applicable law requires otherwise. Questions may be sent to netdefendja@gmail.com.
