DSAR Operations
The operational work of handling Data Subject Access Requests, the process and tooling to receive, verify, fulfill, and respond to individuals exercising their privacy rights within legal deadlines.
When individuals exercise rights like access or deletion, the organization must respond correctly and on time, and DSAR operations is the machinery for that: intake channels, identity verification, locating the person's data across systems, compiling or acting on it, and responding within the statutory window. Doing this reliably at scale depends on a current data map and clear workflows, and failures, missed deadlines or incomplete responses, are compliance and trust risks.
Introduced in: Privacy Law and GDPR Practice
Examples
- Verifying a requester's identity before fulfilling an access request.
