Actor Profiling Use
Applying knowledge of a specific threat actor, such as their goals, typical tools, and behaviors, to make SOC work sharper, like prioritizing the detections and hunts most relevant to adversaries that actually target your organization.
Actor profiles turn generic intelligence into focused action: if a known group targeting your sector favors certain techniques, the SOC can tune detections, guide triage, and shape hunts around those behaviors. The value comes from using the profile operationally, not from collecting it for its own sake.

Examples
- Prioritizing detection of a technique a known sector-targeting group repeatedly uses.
- Guiding triage by checking whether observed activity matches a tracked actor's patterns.
- Shaping a hunt around the tools a relevant ransomware affiliate is known to deploy.
