Technical Intelligence
Intelligence focused on technical indicators and details, hashes, IPs, vulnerabilities, exploit code, that defenders use directly in tools and rules. Closely related to tactical intelligence.
Technical intelligence is the most concrete layer: specific indicators (hashes, IPs, domains), vulnerability data with exploits, malware samples, technical write-ups. It directly feeds defensive tools, SIEM rules, EDR allow/block lists, vulnerability prioritization. Closely related to tactical intelligence (which it overlaps with significantly), it sits below operational and strategic intelligence in the layered TI model. Recognizing technical intelligence is part of organizing how a SOC consumes the full TI spectrum.

Examples
- Adding fresh malware hashes from technical intelligence to EDR.
- Using exploit-availability data to prioritize vulnerability remediation.
- Feeding technical intel directly into SIEM and EDR tools.
