An identity-governance analytic that finds identities whose access is unusual compared to their peers, flagging people with more or different entitlements than similar roles, a strong signal of excessive or inappropriate access.

Identity outlier detection compares each identity's access against peers in similar roles or groups, surfacing those that stand out, someone with entitlements no one else in their role has, or far more access than typical. These outliers often indicate access creep, leftover entitlements, or inappropriate grants worth reviewing. It is a key identity-analytics capability that focuses access reviews and risk scoring on the identities most likely to be over-privileged.
