IGA Platform Functions
The core capabilities an identity governance and administration platform provides, access request and provisioning, access certification, role management, separation-of-duties enforcement, and identity analytics, that automate and govern access at scale.
IGA platforms bundle the functions needed to govern identity: automated access request and provisioning workflows, periodic access certifications, role and entitlement management, separation-of-duties policy enforcement, and identity analytics and reporting. Understanding these functions clarifies what an IGA tool does and how it operationalizes governance, replacing manual, spreadsheet-driven access management with consistent, auditable, automated processes across many systems.
Introduced in: Identity Governance and Administration
