Cloud Assessment Scope
The defined boundaries of a cloud security assessment, which accounts, subscriptions, services, and regions are included, and what is out of scope. It is set first so the assessment is focused and its coverage and limits are clear.
Cloud estates can sprawl across many accounts, regions, and services, so scope decides where to look and what to prioritize, usually emphasizing production and identity. Clear scoping prevents both blind spots and unbounded effort, sets expectations about what the assessment did and did not cover, and accounts for the shared-responsibility split between customer and provider.
Introduced in: Cloud Security Assessment
