GRC Stakeholders
The people and groups a GRC program serves and works with, executives and the board, business and operations teams, auditors, regulators, IT and security, whose differing needs the GRC analyst must understand and balance.
GRC sits at a crossroads of many interests: leadership wants risk visibility and assurance, business units want minimal friction, auditors and regulators want evidence, and security and IT own controls. GRC stakeholders are all these parties, and a GRC analyst's effectiveness depends on understanding each one's needs and communicating with them appropriately, translating between technical control detail and business risk language to keep the program aligned and supported.
