VM Integration
Integrating vulnerability management with adjacent functions, asset inventory, patching, ticketing, IR, so VM data flows into operational work rather than sitting in standalone reports.
Vulnerability management value depends on integration: scanner findings flowing into ticketing for remediation, asset inventory enriching results, patching systems closing findings automatically where possible, IR pulling VM data during incidents. Without integration, scanner output piles up unread. As a vulnerability-management topic, integration is often a higher-leverage investment than buying yet another scanner: it gets existing findings acted on, which is where almost all of the value actually lives.
Introduced in: Vulnerability Management
Examples
- Routing scanner findings into ticketing for remediation tracking.
- Enriching VM results with asset-inventory context.
- Linking patching systems so closed CVEs auto-update scanner records.
