VM Program Metrics
The metrics that measure a vulnerability-management program, MTTR, SLA compliance, critical-vulnerability backlog, scan coverage, that give leaders a credible view of program health.
VM metrics include mean time to remediate by severity, percentage of vulnerabilities within SLA, critical-vulnerability backlog, scan coverage, exception trends, recurring-vulnerability patterns. Good metrics tell the story of whether the program is improving, where it's stalled, and where investment is needed. As a vulnerability-management topic, metrics are how mature programs communicate health to leadership without drowning them in technical detail.

Examples
- Reporting MTTR by severity as a flagship VM metric.
- Tracking critical-vulnerability backlog over time.
