DCSync
DCSync is abuse of Active Directory replication permissions to request credential data while impersonating the behavior of a domain controller.
Detection focuses on unexpected principals performing directory replication operations and requires suitable auditing and context. Defenders also restrict replication rights and protect every identity or system capable of granting them.
