Enterprise Access Model (Tier Model)
Microsoft's Enterprise Access Model organizes control, management, data or workload planes and their access pathways, building on the legacy three-tier AD administrative model.
The models share a goal of preventing lower-trust systems from exposing higher-privilege credentials, but the modern plane model expands beyond on-premises AD to hybrid, cloud, application, and privileged access paths.
