Learning Sharing

Spreading the lessons from incidents and operations across the team and organization, so insights from one responder's experience or one incident improve everyone's practice rather than staying siloed.

Learning sharing is the practice of disseminating what is learned from incidents, investigations, and day-to-day response, what worked, what failed, new techniques, recurring pitfalls, so the whole team and organization benefit. Through debriefs, write-ups, knowledge bases, and informal exchange, it turns individual and incident-specific lessons into collective improvement. In incident response operations it is how a team gets better over time and avoids repeating mistakes, reinforcing a learning culture.
